Ben Vorlich (Loch Lomond) by Loch Sloy
Ben Vorlich (Loch Lomond)
Ben Vorlich is the most northerly mountain in the Arrochar Alps, a group of rocky mountains North of Glasgow. We will climb the mountain from the car park by the power station at Inveruglas. The climb is on forestry tracks and mountain path and there is some easy scrambling higher up on the hill. The route is steep and sustained but is otherwise straightforward and gets you to the top quite quickly. About nine miles there and back (14km - 5 to 6 hours).
People intending to take part in this event should read GOC's document Safety in the Hills.
