  • TerrainA moderate mountain walk. Good paths on the whole, some steep sections. The final summit sections require some easy scrambling on good hand holds.

Ben Venue

Ben Venue at 727 metres is not particularly high by Scottish standards but has all the characteristics of a larger mountain, with rocky ridges and summit and it affords great views of the Trossachs and Loch Katrine.  This walk is suitable for walkers with a reasonable amount of fitness but who may never have been up a mountain before.

We will climb the mountain Loch Achray, about nine miles there and back (14km) - about 5 hours.
