Enjoy an invigorating, seven-mile hike with many parts, starting with delightful Blagdon, then taking in meadow, forest and heath to reach Mendips' summit at Beacon Batch. The walk has a couple of climbs and mostly on established paths. You will enjoy splendid views, including the Bristol Channel, Blagdon Lake and the Somerset Levels. If we're lucky with clear weather, you'll see planes arriving and departing Bristol Airport. If we're even more lucky, you'll see Mendip ponies grazing nearby.

You must carry food and drink for the walk as there are no facilities along the way. But, there is a nice tea shop at the end.
