A 5+ mile figure of eight walk along the River Thames Tow path, exploring Long Wittenham. We are deliberately starting at Appleford Railway Station to enable members to access the walk. Apart from the normal pub lunch (to be arranged) we are stopping at "PENDON Museum", Long Wittenham, 01865 408143, SatNav OX14 4QD. For those who don't know it, PENDON is one of the best " model railways" in the country. But it is far more important as a massive model of buildings and villages of the "Vale of the White Horse". You will see models of properties you have walked past. Entry 11am-4pm, £7.50, (Over 60's £6.50). Small Tea Room, Parking.
