This moderate 6-mile walk follows part of the London Loop, heading from west to east. Most of it is rural, with woodland trails and open common land interspersed with short stretches along suburban roads. We will take a short drinks’ break at the park on Shirley Church Road, and a lunch break at Sparrow’s Den Playing Fields where there are lots of benches.

Please note that there are several drop‑off points along the route. If you wish to leave the walk early, please ask the leader, who will be happy to advise you. The walk will end at Hayes.
