A walk up Glen Tilt
Glen Tilt
This is an extra walk on the programme to coordinate with a wild camping meet on the same weekend. We will accompany the 'wild campers' for part of their walk in to camp for the weekend by the River Tarf.
Glen tilt is a deep valley then runs deep into the heart of some wild and remote country, to the north rises the munro of Carn a'Chlamain, and the south of the glen is bounded by the three munros of the Beinn a'Ghlo range.
We will walk from Blair Athol railway station and walk up the glen as far as Marble Bridge where we meet a path on the opposite bank of the river where we can loop around to make a circuit. There is an option to walk further on up the main track to Forest Lodge if desired. About a 14 km/8 mile undulating walk with no particularly steep climbs or descents.
