A riverside walk from Cremyll to Millbrook returning through woods, the hilltop military base of Maker Heights and Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. A bird watching opportunity along the way depending on the tide.

The walk which is approximately 7 1/2 miles  is straightforward along well defined paths and quiet roads except for one challenging incline /steps of about 1/3 rd of a mile aptly known as the “Alpine Way”.  There is an option to avoid the incline by retracing steps to the start point with Dave Hopkins .

The walk should take no more than 5 hours. It gives opportunities for wonderful views across the Lynher, the Tamar and the moors beyond as well as the Plymouth cityscape.
