A stroll around the urban environs of Chard and Chard Reservoir.
Chard Reservoir was originally built to provide water for the Chard Canal but was abandoned with the arrival of the railway. Today the area around the reservoir is a local Nature Reserve. The railway has now gone too, however the walk will include a section of the old railway line between Chard And Ilminster (a section of the Stop Line Way cycle route).
After the walk there will be the opportunity to obtain refreshments at one of the cafes or hostelries in the town.
