Napton on the Hill is a village in Warwickshire with a history going back to well before the Norman Conquest. The village sits around a hill which is surmounted by a church and a windmill. From the south it is approached by the Oxford Canal which wraps around its western and northern boundaries to meet the Grand Union Canal.
The village is surrounded by gorgeous Warwickshire countryside.
This walk will take us through some of this countryside to the top of a wooded hill and then down to the village of Lower Shuckburgh, where we join and follow the Grand Union Canal to its junction with the Oxford Canal, which we follow back to Napton.
