A 6 mile Circular walk starting on Watlington Hill
A delightful circular walk of approx 6 miles - we explore part of the the Swans' Way as it winds its way past Watlington Hill and its white mark managed by the National Trust. This area is part of the Watlington and Pyrton Hills Site of Special Scientific Interest and may well appeal to Naturalists. We walk through chalk grassland as well as beech, ash and ancient yew woodland. If we are lucky we may see red kites circling above us whilst below we can look out over the Oxford Plain. A pub meal will be our reward after a moderate walk with some fairly long ascents and descents.
