Associated clubs

These clubs offer outdoor, sporting or other active pursuits that welcome GOC members. Some offer concessions on event fees for GOC members.

  • CycleOut – founded to be a safe place for the LGBTQIA+ community and their friends to get active on a bike, meet new people, learn new skills, have adventures, and live life to the full
  • Devon Pals – Lesbian group with monthly walks and occasional socials
  • Freedom Club – a camping and caravan club for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people
  • Gay Caravan & Motorhome Club -the longest running UK based club for the gay community; who just happen to share a common interest and own either a Caravan, Tent or Motorhome
  • Glasgow Gay Rambling Group – walks on the second Saturday of each month
  • GLUG (National Gay & Lesbian Underwater Group) – a non-profit SCUBA diving club for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered divers and their friends
  • Goslings London Badminton Club – London’s largest and popular badminton club for LGBT+ players and their friends
  • Lilidots – a lesbian women’s walking group, organised and run by by lesbian members for lesbian women
  • Midlands Out Badminton – a friendly, social badminton club catering primarily to the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans) community in the West Midlands
  • Moseley Shoals – Birmingham’s LGBTQ+ swim & water polo group, a thriving and diverse sporting and leisure swimming club
  • Northern Wave – a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender swimming club based in Manchester
  • Not So Trad, Southern LGBT Climbers – an LGBT+ climbing club, largely based in London but with members spread across the south of England and further afield
  • Out2Golf UK (formerly Irons Golf Society) – a friendly and inclusive group of LGBT+ golfers and allies based in London with members all over the UK
  • Out on Sunday – a gay walking group based in and around Greater Manchester, mainly but not exclusively for members of the LGBT community
  • Truegrip Badminton Glasgow – an amateur and social LGBT badminton club
  • Women Walk Wales (WWW) – monthly meets, Anglesey to Snowdonia

Other clubs and groups

  • BLAGSS – a sports and social group that now has around 500 lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender members from across Brighton and Hove, Sussex and beyond
  • Boot Women – a walking group for women, primarily lesbians, based in Birmingham and the surrounding areas
  • Derby Women’s Walking Group – a very sociable group of gay women who walk every first Sunday in the month
  • Dyke Hikes – a group of lesbians who enjoy walking
  • East Yorkshire Dykes on Hikes – a friendly women-only walking group who walk together once a month – normally on the first Sunday of each month
  • Gay Men’s Walking Group – a group for gay & bi men who want to go on walks in or near London
  • Gay Sunday Walking Group – a London-based walking group for gay men and women and gay-friendly friends and relations
  • GOC German Alpine Club – the Gay Outdoor Club (GOC) is the queer section of the German Alpine Club. See also Munich GOC comes of age.
  • London Lesbians Afoot – a chilled, friendly and sociable group of gay/bi women/lesbians in London, who enjoy walking, fresh air, and the great, green outdoors
  • London Hiking Dykes – born in October 1988 when two lesbians advertised for walking companions
  • Lunar Cycles – a free cycle club for those identifying as women, non-binary and transgender, with a particular focus on the LBTQI+ community in Bristol
  • Manchester Gay Walkers – a friendly LGBT community group for those who love walks, hiking and the countryside
  • Nottingham Hyking Dykes – come rain or shine, we have been walking for 31 Years!
  • Out and About Hikers – a Belfast-based group who arrange twice-monthly walks, occasional nights out and weekend trips for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and their friends
  • Out and About – a friendly Dublin-based hiking club for the LGBTQ+ community and its friends
  • Outdoor Lads – a friendly group of gay, bisexual and trans guys who get together to enjoy adventures and activities
  • Peak Queer Adventures – Sheffield based queer outdoors collective
  • Queer campfire – a weekend away camping, in a field full of queer women & non-binary folks
  • Queer Out Here – a band of companions looking for peace and joy in the act of walking together
  • Rainbow Rambles – easy, short walks in and around Birmingham which are popular with a wide variety
  • Sheffield Hiking Dykes – a lesbian walking group, set up in 1991, we have a walk of between 6 and 8 miles every 2nd Sunday
  • Women of Colour Cycling Collective – a support network for minority ethnic women and non-binary cyclists in the UK
  • Women walking in Kent – a lesbian walking group that has been going since February 2004
