Lyme Park Circular (Cheshire)
An eight mile moderate walk around the boundaries of Lyme Park. A great variety of walking through woods, fields and moorland with some superb views over the park and towards the 16th Century house (NB we will not have chance to visit the house on this occasion).
A chance to spot a variety of wildlife including red deer and some veteran oak trees that are up to 550 years old. Opportunity for pub stop at the end.
Food / Drink: please bring a packed lunch and something to drink. After the walk we generally go for a drink at the White Horse - unless the Covid restrictions have changed by then.
Equipment: walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothing, hat and gloves. Trekking pole(s) recommended if normally used.
