Capital Ring (Part 8) - East Finchley to Stoke Newington
Today's walk is our 8th part of our clockwise circuit of London via the Capital Ring. We followed this part in February 2018 in very cold conditions. The walk will be about 7 miles in length. As with other sections of the Capital Ring there will be opportunies to leave the walk early, should people find this convenient.
On leaving East Finchley, the walk passes through attractive woodland in Highgate and Queen's Woods, then follows most of the well-known Parkland Walk (London's longest nature reserve) along the former railway line between Highgate and Finsbury Park. We will pause in Finsbury Park itself before continuing via the 'New River', the Stoke Newington Reservoirs, Clissold Park and finally the fascinating Abney Park Cemetery before arriving at Stoke Newington.
