Starting in the village of Vernham Dean this is another autumnal return to the wild border country straddling Hants, Berks and Wilts. A moderate 6.5 mile hike heading north-east away from the village on a different route to those used previously. We'll be on varied terrain, sometimes on open ground, in green lanes or in woodland, and passing through small hamlets like Linkenholt and Netherton. Mainly we'll be on tracks and quiet lanes, but some paths may be muddy. One moderate climb.
