A moderate 6 mile ramble, up, down and around Bickerton Hill and Broxton, featuring the curious “Slars”, “Mad Allen’s Hole” (at your own risk), Brown Knowl, Broxton Old Hall and the remarkable remains of Iron Age Maiden Castle. There are some fine views over the southern parts of Cheshire. Boots are desirable.
