A weekend meet at Bridges Youth Hostel in the Shropshire Hills

Bridges YH is a former school in the small village of the same name in the Shropshire Hills below The Long Mynd and The Stiperstones, both of these hills can be accessed directly from the door of the hostel without any need to drive. The building became a youth hostel in 1931 making it one of the oldest in the UK and it retains much of its character.  There is a pub a short walk from the hostel where you can eat out and partake in liquid refreshments (The Bridges Inn).

There will be a longish walk arranged on the Saturday, and a shorter walk on the Sunday allowing a finish by mid-afternoon for those who need to travel.
