Nine members enjoyed a dry, flat, four-mile walk in the fields and lanes around and along Cheddar Reservoir, finishing with lunch at Cheddar's Village Cafe and Bakery. Thanks to Chris for devising and leading the outing.
We were mystified to find the reservoir looking half empty, given this wet summer. You can see the exposed lake bottom in the group photograph, usually hidden by water. This exposed beach was lovely enough for us to have thought we should be lunching in deckchairs by the water. We've not found an answer for the absence of water. The best suggestion is preparations for dredging! Further suggestions welcome.
