Sixteen members enjoyed a charming outing on the beach at Burnham-on-Sea welcoming David Stockwell on the seventy-fifth day of his epic walk from John o' Groats to Land's End going from Weston-super-Mare to Burnham-on-Sea. We had lovely weather, a very easy terrain and panoramic views across the Bristol Channel to Exmoor and South Walks. The seven-mile ramblers did ten in the end. The four-mile strollers did seven. This was because we kept walking north until we met David and his party of six coming south on the beach near Brean. It's a big beach. But, there was only praise for the walk and its ambience. Thanks to Chris for devising the route and leading the walk.
