Heathfield Walk, Led By Mr Heathfield
GOC Sussex Group wecome you to a 7.5 mile circular walk starting in the East Sussex town of Heathfield, led by our very own Steve Heathfield. We will begin along a disused railway line until we leave it in a cutting to join the Sussex Diamond Way for a short stretch, before picking up the path to Broad Oak. From here, we head to Cade Street and then on to Old Heathfield for lunch. Then we make our way back to Heathfield, taking in the Cuckoo Trail back to the start. There is the possibility of getting refreshments at the end of the walk in Heathfield.
If there has been any rain paths are likely to be muddy and there are quite a few stiles to cross. Some of the route is moderately steep in places.
Bring drink for the walk and a packed lunch to eat halfway. Please wear clothes appropriate for the weather and terrain. Dogs are welcome if kept on leads whenever near livestock, on roads or if requested by the walk leader.
