Cycling the Far North of Scotland
Classic riding in the north of Scotland, tackling around half of the North Coast 500 route. From Inverness to Lochcarron on the west coast, up along the coast to Durness, before heading inland via Lairg to the east coast, and back to Inverness. Most of the route is on single-track roads, all of it is on tarmac. The route is seriously hilly, including the ascent of the Bealach nam Bà (pass of the cattle), at ~610 m the biggest climb on UK public roads. Several of the hills are also seriously steep, 17-20%.
But it's spectacular if the weather is kind, and the dates are too early for the midges. Mountains, the sea, and some forest too.
Organised jointly with OutVelo. Since this is a joint event, booking is via Eventbrite. More details on the Eventbrite page. This event is now nominally full, but there is a reserve list. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/north-coast-500-lgbtq-road-cycling-tickets-718109102657?aff=oddtdtcreator
There is also the possibility of making your own accommodation arrangements, but please contact me first.
