A moderately strenuous 8.6 mile walk from Compstall to Broadbottom on the edge of the Peak District. This varied and hilly walk offers spectacular views on a fine day over Greater Manchester, the Etherow Valley and the Pennines.

Our route will include Ernocroft Wood in Etherow Country Park, Higher Chisworth,  Lymefield & Broad Mills Heritage Site, Broadbottom Gorge and Werneth Low.

Equipment:  walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers,  sun hat, sun cream, trekking pole(s) if normally used.
