An easy walk through farming country to the North East of Darlington. From Barmpton we initially climb slightly and pass through an area of wind turbines. The route then follows ancient trading lanes and field paths to intersect the river Skerne near to an ancient pack horse bridge that is 50 yards from the river ?? We then follow the Skerne back to Barmpton.
