  • TerrainThe walk is classed as easy because it is fairly short and will be taken at a relaxed pace, but there are some short steep climbs in Hermitage Woods to tackle. Good paths on the whole, but paths could be muddy and slippery in places after rain.

Hermitage Woods and Bridge of Allan

An additional Monday walk put on due to popular demand.  A circular walk from the university campus, climbing up through the Hermitage Woods behind the university then cutting over to Bridge of Allan via Mine Woods.  Returning to the university on paths and quiet roads. About 5 miles (8km) with some short steep climbs and descents.  Good views over to The Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle.  Possible café refreshments options are available in Bridge of Allan main street, a short diversion off the route.
