
Hollingworth circular - near Glossop
A 8 mile walk from Hollingworth, near Glossop, around Hollingworthhall Moor and then up the valley passing Walkerwood, Brushes, Lower and Higher Swineshaw reservoirs, around Lees Hill and then down through meadows and back along the north side of Arnfield reservoir. Beautiful views on the ascent and return with a variety of landscapes including woodlands, meadows, moors, and reservoirs. This is a tough walk with a total ascent of 1400 feet.
Food / Drink: please bring a packed lunch and something to drink. There isn’t a pub, café or shop en route.
Equipment: walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothing, hat and gloves. Trekking pole(s) recommended if normally used. (some steep ascents and descents).
