This month's walk was from Otford, an excellent sunny day for one of our favourites!! 15 members, a lot of new faces from the London area joining us, plus one dog, Bert.

Our route took us through the town toward Shoreham along the banks of the Darent, then climbing steeply into the hills with wonderful views over wide valleys. We were spoilt with excellent carpets of bluebells and, later on, masses of cowslips naturalised in fields. After lunch we were treated to sights of Canary Wharf and The Shard in the distance, the clearest I have seen them. At the end of the walk back in Otford, some of us went for the usual drink, this time in The Bull.

A great day meeting a lot of new faces, and an old friend from the past.  Thanks to Nick Percival for planning and leading today's walk.
