Yesterday's wonderful autumnal eight-mile walk from Groombridge saw ten of us take a road out of the village, across fields to the quirky hamlet of Mott's Mill with its unusual 'characters' beside the road !
Further on, we could see into the grounds of Penn's in the Rocks, and marvellous leaf colours. We stopped for lunch on a sunny bank near Gillridge.
After lunch, we continued along lanes and narrow pathways, until reaching Harrison's Rocks. There were very few climbers though.
Back in Groombridge, after a quick change of muddy boots, we all visited the Junction Inn for a quick drink.
A superb end to the day, many thanks to everyone who joined us and made the day so enjoyable.
