Photos from our glorious Easter Sunday walk expertly led by Nick Stanley assuming the role of Ms Bessemer for the day !!!
We met at West Hoathly for the 7.5 mile walk over fields with sheep and lambs, and through woods with swathes of bluebells (they will be early this year!) toward Horsted Keynes village where we stopped for lunch in the old churchyard.
The afternoon was very much associated with the Bluebell Railway, firstly briefly stopping at Horsted Keynes station, then walking alongside the track for about a mile or so with a photo opportunity of trains going both up and down the line.
Back at West Hoathly, there was a welcome drink in The Fox.
Good to see everyone...Ms Bessemer definitely Saved The Train !!
Thanks to Nick for planning and leading the walk. An excellent day out.
