A great walk this month from Cudham to Knockholt, Knockholt Pound, and Downe. Fourteen of us, conveniently, gathered next to the Blacksmith's Arms in Cudham; a lovely sunny day and the temperature was just right for walking. Our route took us over fields, through wooded areas, into and out of valleys, and along lanes. Stopping briefly at Knockholt Pound opposite the pub, for a quick breather, before continuing. Our lunch stop was in a field where there was the opportunity to either sit in the sun or shade.
After lunch, we continued on toward Downe village, made famous by Charles Darwin. Stopping briefly again in the village before returning to Cudham and drinks in the pub.
Another superb day with good company, thank you to everyone who joined us, and thanks to Julian Smith for planning and leading the walk, one for the archives!
