Titchfield Canal 18 May 2014

Once we had gathered 8 men and 2 dogs together at the sea front car park Andy’s walk took us up along the canal alongside the water meadows and sights of Titchfield Haven. Spring should, according to the Haven leave us inspired by the natural signs, from courting and mating birds, to the arrival of Swallows and Cuckoos, and blossoming trees and wildflowers.

Our lunchtime inspiration was found at the Wheatsheaf for some and those with packed lunches went further afield to Titchfield Abbey for a more meaningful discourse.  As this did not work we returned to the pub and lo and behold, found our inspiration in the bottom of a glass.

Much refreshed our afternoon ramble took us back through Titchfield village, up across the Chilling coastal area and Brownwich  Cliffs  and back down to the seafront.

Here we enjoyed quickly melting Ice Cream in the afternoon sun and wetsuit clad windsurfing totty until it was time to set off for home.
