On a cloudy Sunday morning nine of us met up at Rodborough Commons carpark just off the southbound A3 slip road! We eagerly set off with Gordon leading us on this relatively flat walk through Thursley National Nature Reserve.
We were all impressed with the boardwalks across the peatbogs and the views over Warren Mere.
By this time the sun had emerged from the clouds so I was glad I had been able to borrow a hat from Adrian and that much of the walk was in shade
We then paused for lunch accompanied by one or two ants scurrying around!
After lunch we continued over heathland towards Guinea and Elstead common before returning to the carpark to enjoy tea and cakes.
Many thanks to Gordon for leading us on a road free walk and all those who provided culinary delights
