Nine of us set off from East Grinstead station for this delightful ten mile walk which took in the sights of Forest Row and the weir wood reservoir.
Everybody was in very high spirits on the walk today and double entendres were flying around at the speed of a Concorde!
When we came to a beautiful bridge with a fast flowing stream below, everybody was eager to play a game of pooh sticks! The participants grabbed their sticks and down they were thrown to the water beneath us. Excitedly, we all dashed to the other side to see whose stick was victorious. It was hard to tell who the clear winner was but we had fun in the process!
We continued along to the end of the walk which ended back at the station and we were provided with delicious shortbread from Adrian, plum brioche from Gordon and a honey and walnut cake from Robert. All were devoured with huge noises of appreciation!
