Maiden Bradley 7-5-23

Sandwiched between two days of rain was this clear sunny day in south west Wiltshire.

Starting from the village of Maiden Bradley, this 7.5 mile walk ascended the gentle(ish) incline to summit Gare hill. Using mainly field and forest paths, the going was pleasant and the views were good.

Lunch was had sat on two fallen tree-trunks within a sun-dappled glade, before returning via a similar network of footpaths to Maiden Bradley.

To top it all on our return, the village hall was hosting an art exhibition and serving tea.

Many thanks to those who came along - I enjoyed your company and to our intrepid leaders who put on an excellent walk in an area we haven't been to for a while.
