Llandegfedd Reservoir

In fantastic weather, Peter led a group of 9 around the enchanting Llandegfedd Reservoir and the Sor Brook Valley.   The walk began with a shorter circular walk of around 2 miles around the valley, before we returned to the reservoir and walked a route around it and the local countryside of around 6 miles.  The views of the Gwent hills and valleys were excellent, and we passed gorgeous woodlands and open meadows, as we circled the spectacular reseroir.  At the lunch stop at the water's edge, we met up with Steve who had missed us at the start, and we then completed the walk with tea and cake at the new Visitor Centre.  A superb walk, much enjoyed by all.
