Larkin & Dickens Walk

Twelve people attended this walk which started at Higham train station.

We visited the slightly rundown Larkin Monument and made our way out into the countryside via Gads Hill - the former home of Charles Dickens.

A lovely sunny day allowed us to take lunch at Shorne Country Park where we headed back towards the Thames Estuary.

We had to make a change of route as a footbridge over the railway running alongside the old Gravesend/Thames canal was closed.

Big thanks to everyone who attended this part of Kent and a great welcome to those new to the group who came along too.
