JOGLE Day 98 St Ives to Lower Boscaswell

The grading for today's walk in the South West Coast Path Association Guidebook is 'severe' and they're not wrong. There is not only the steep climbs and decents but what lies under your feet, mainly big boulders that you may have to climb or negotiate with,  gaps between made to twist ankles or jolt knees. There are also little boulders built sufficiently high to stub your toes. Plenty of bramble and nettles to scratch any exposed parts. The boggy areas also attract insects, some of whom are blood suckers.

The author of this piece is completed knackered and looking forward to the comforts of a shower, a pub dinner with friends, who have arrived in anticipation of Friday's final hoorah and a good nights sleep.

The feature picture is of the civilised Tate Cornwall  Gallery in St Ives

The supplementary pictures are of Tate Cornwall, a posy a walker has made to stay in a gate latch on the coastpath,  the view of Pendour Cove from Zennor Head, the rocks on Zennor Head and Levant Tin Mine
