JOGLE Day 95 Newquay to Perranporth

The lovely bright sunshine experienced in my recent days did not carry over to today, but having said that, the Cornish coast did let me down for it's beauty.

The skies were overcast and the seas were flat when I got to Fistral beach, so only a few novice surfers and instructors. I did see some displayed 6 pack abs.

I sailed on my last ferry across the river Gannel. Always enjoy the ferry crossings. This one was small with only the ferryman, a couple and me. It only took about 5 to 10 mins.

Although the sun wasn't truly out until the afternoon, the Sunday was not wasted as Hollywell beach was popular and I was inspired to have a 2 scooped ice cream with 'brownies' and 'cherry ripple' flavours. I later saw an 'under the sea' flavour, but had ready been sated of ice cream.

The tide was going out this afternoon and I could already see the sea had receded from Cotty's Point, so I walked the full length of Perran Sands on the beach

Once I reached Perranporth I saw a car painted with 3 lions shields, England flags attached to all attachable points and 3 lions being played loudly as it went round. I guess many people are wondering whether Football's coming home

The feature picture is on Perran Sands walking toward Perranporth.

The supplementary pics are of Fistral Beach, the ferry over the Gannel, looking towards the stacks at the entrance to Holywell Bay, a sea holly flower, Perran Sands from the cliff tops and on Perran Sands with sunny sands but stormy looking weather over the cliffs.
