Hi Gang,
This was a walk with four major stops for food and drinks, and loads of chatting.
Even with the threat of heavy rain, six "interesting members" met up for an eight mile walk exploring Eynsham Abbey site and out to South Leigh with its exceptional church wall paintings. Clearly all our small group were interested in venacular architecture and spent our lunch break decryption the details, observing features easily missed.
Started by me over estimating how long it would take collecting three members, first our Andrew W, then Mozes and Steve from the railway station - then get to Eynsham (with an hour to spare) we had food and drinks in the local cafe. Lunch in the church followed by drinks at the local pub. Joined by Howard we returned to the cafe before departing....
A good day, Thanks for making it so enjoyable.
Bill and Paul
