Hi Gang,
Yet another very enjoyable exploration of areas of Oxford we knew, along with amazing discoveries hidden - mainly in Keble College - of familiar paintings.
We all met at Oxford Railway Station. The usual bunch and one new member along with three friends from S Midlands, and Steve from London.
Andrew marched us off towards Port Meadow to see the "Great Lake" formed by flood water from the River Thames. We reached a flooded ditch only to find the water too deep for our "towny shoes" so back to the bridge.
Jerrico, St Giles and the Natural History Museum before our usual visit for lunch (whilst it rained outside). Decided on "The Parks" so off to the former nudie "Parsons Pleasure" where several of our gang admitted visiting in younger years. On route Nick suggested Keble College Chapel so we all marched in to discover the paintings displayed in a minor anti room. Then on to the park Rain started so we headed back to the New Bodleian Library Cafe to disperse.
Thanks, yet again to Andrew for taking us on another magical exploration.
Bill
