Walking the Wars of The Roses

GOC Culture & History are promoting two exciting walks from local groups this October. We have Tewkesbury following the River Severn, then Leicestershire's Bosworth Field

The violent Yorkist reign saw serious clashes in Staffordshire, Yorkshire on Palm Sunday, even suburban Barnet. Northampton (next year's AOG) also featured. So if you have ideas for events or walks,– let us know!

Coming up,. On 8th October South Mids will take in Possibly England's greatest (and bloodiest) Parish Church – Tewkesbury Abbey – plus Saxon Deerhurst and Odda`s chapel. Then Bosworth Field on the 15th where the walk follows Ashby Canal and the Battlefield Trail, site of Richard III `s demise and a new Tudor beginning.
