Despite storm Bert, Seven of us embarked on this linear walk from Shalford to Gomshall.
The short train journey from Gomshall to Shalford was uneventful until arrival at Shalford when the conductor said tickets please! A few of us hadn't bought tickets to which he replied please buy them at Shalford we thanked him and left the train.
We eagerly set off towards Chilworth and were all thankful that no rain had fallen. After pausing for a photo by Shalford Mill.
After Chilworth we began the climb up to St Martha's Hill and discovered the wind had picked up!
Having taken in the view we descended to our sheltered lunch stop.
After Lunch we continued on through Shere and back to Gomshall where we all enjoyed tea and cakes.
