Heading to the Lakes next year?

The news from Cumbria is that there's a new regional group taking off, with every GOC member welcome to come and join in – wherever they live.

Maybe have a special Lakeland walk? (it doesn't have to actually BE in AWs footsteps). Why not plan a visit, bring a few friends, meet new ones and give it a go. Even if you don't know your Cat Bells from your Kendal Mint Cake, the Lake offer something for everyone. From a gentle stroll around Buttermere to kitting yourself our for Striding Edge, it is n ultimate outdoor destination.

There's also local real ales by the dozen, Sizergh Castle, Holker Hall, Beatrix Potter and William Ruskin's` idyllic Brantwood on Coniston's shore. Oh, and Stickybits LGBTQI+ cafe if you are popping in to Carlisle.
