Happy New Year. In East Kent we have a full programme of walk events in 2026 to look forward to.

As always thank you to all the walk leaders for volunteering to lead walks last year and this year. We have a number of new walk leaders this year with David Bremner leading his first walk in March - thanks David.

Our walks are usually on the last Sunday of every month at 10.30am. Meeting points are accessible by public transport or you can arrange lifts.

There is also now a WhatsApp group for the East Kent GOC for group chat. Please email me with name and number if wish to join.

The January circular walk is now shorter at 6 miles on the edge of the North Downs, still starting at Hollingbourne rail station. At the end we have the option of a Sunday roast - if you would like that option, please contact the walk leader so that Niall can book us a table as we're unlikely to be able to just turn up to eat.
