An easy walk through fields and woodland in pleasant rolling countryside on the Derbyshire Leicestershire border. We start at the southern end of Staunton Harold Reservoir and circumnavigate the reservoir anti-clockwise. Visiting the pretty town of Melbourne with its pool and hall, Ticknall Lime yards and Dimminsdale Nature Reserve. We use a mix of footpaths with some stiles, farm tracks, old tramways and quiet lanes.
