Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley, Stourbridge, is the best surviving example of a Glasshouse in the UK, this winter canal walk follows the Stourbridge link to the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, one of the major routes of the canal age, which would have been constantly busy with coal boats bringing coal for the glass industry. There will be the opportunity to visit the Glass Cone at the end of the walk (admission is free). There are toilets and a cafe on site.
This is a fairly flat walk, with just 2 stiles, along canal towpaths and bridleways, so come prepared for mud!
