The first of three Munro walks over the weekend of 21st-23rd February.
Saturday’s walk will be a warm-up for the later trips with a simple out and back climb up one of the many Scottish hills named Geal Chàrn (which translates from Gaelic as Bright Cairn). This particular one is a solitary Munro at 928m, somewhat isolated from its eastern neighbours in the Monadhliath range.
Note that this is a winter mountain walk that may require the use of crampons and an ice axe.
We'll be following the route described on WalkHighlands.
