Featured as Book of The Month on the GOC website The Stranger by Albert Camus has been made into a new film. A handbook for teenage existentialists, and the inspiration for The Cure’s famous first single, The Stranger is the story of Mersault, a young man who commits an act of violence and then has to take the consequence of his action.

The Phoenix Arts Centre is located in Exeter City Centre a few minutes walk from Exeter Central train station and a few minutes walk from city centre car parks.

Tickets cost £9 for non members with concessions available. Please buy your own ticket and be aware they may sell out so advanced purchases recommended.

The Phoenix has a cosy indoor bar area and outdoor seating. I suggest meeting in the bar area from 4.30 onwards for those who would like a drink, a coffee or a bar snack. ( food usually available)
