A circular walk up Ben Cleuch in the Ochil Hills
Ben Cleuch is the highest hill in the Ochils - a group of grassy rounded hills to the east of Stirling. We will walk from Tillicoultry and take a circular walk of a horseshoe of hills to Ben Cleuch. About 11km (7 miles, 731m of ascent.) If the weather is clear we will have good views over the Forth Valley and north to the higher mountains of the Southern Highlands.
The route has a couple of steep climbs and descents, is rough in parts and it could be muddy in sections after rain. Good boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, some layers of warm clothing may be required, depending on the weather.
The start is accessible by bus from the University rear entrance. Bus timetables are Here.
