Beinn Each
Beinn Each (813m) is an obscure Corbett (a hill between 2500 and 3000 ft) that rises to the east of Loch Lubnaig, just north of Callander. The hill is less frequented by walkers than Ben Ledi - its popular neighbour and its rare to see other people on the hill. The views from the summit are extensive - if its clear of course - North to the higher mountains of the Highlands and south back to the central belt and Stirling.
The name means Horse Hill, and Each is pronounced with the 'ch' making the same sound as in 'loch'.
The climb up the hill is straightforward but is quite sustained. We will climb the mountain from Loch Lubnaig, about 6 miles there and back (10km) - about 4 to 5 hours (if we return by the ascent route).
