A walk through the history of Sitges 2025

Event Details

On the Monday of GOC goes to Sitges 2025, Agisitges will offer A walk through Sitges’ history:

"A walk from Sitges’ origins to present-day. The itinerary we propose goes down Illa de Cuba St., Francesc Gumà St., Jesús St. and Cap de la Vila Square, to continue up Major St. Plaça de l’Ajuntament, Baluard, Fonollar St. and la Torreta.

During the first part of the itinerary you will discover the origin of modern Sitges, with its new urban expansion area, and the homes of the so-called Americanos who beautified the town in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, thanks to the money they had made in the West Indies. For the second part of the itinerary we’ll visit an older Sitges, Major St., Town Hall Square –where the ancient castle used to be-, the church, the ramparts, Bosch St., Sant Sebastià beach… And during the third part we’ll discover the artists and collectors that made Sitges a meeting point for intellectuals, and who transformed the old quarter into this town’s most emblematic spot: the outside of the Palau Maricel, the Maricel Museum, the Cau Ferrat and its important figures, Santiago Rusiñol, Miquel Utrillo and Charles Deering, among others."

As an alternative option, at the same time, we have a first Sitges Rainbow Tour.

Bookings are now open - please book as early as possible and by Friday 17 October at the latest.  Up to 20 paid tickets will be available for each tour at £10 each.
