A circular walk of 10.5 miles in the metropolitan countryside of north London.
Features of the route centre around just how close to countryside the London suburbs are. From an urban starting point, the route wriggles its way to the open countryside at the nature reserve Moat Mount Open Space, meanders around Dollis Brook, pokes around Darlands Lake, gets a couple of big views of inner London from afar (and from slightly on high), before returning to the busy urban area near the station.
The route is exposed.
Wear sturdy boots. Expect some mud.
Bring packed lunch, water and something to sit on.
Optional pub stop at the end of the walk (although the target pub is yet to be tested, so it might be very optional…).
The start point is at a railway station.
